A spiritual home for you in the Berkshires...
St. James Episcopal Church Great Barrington, MA welcomes you!
St. James is the oldest Episcopal church in the diocese, and we worship in a modern, secular space. That’s pretty much how we are: traditional, experimental, grounded in scripture, flexible, and overflowing with the love of God. Sunday celebrations are filled with music and open us to the mystery of the divine, the goodness of one another, and how we are called to live out our faith in the community 24/7. We share Sunday worship with the people of St. George.
We invite you to join us at one of our weekly services.
Saint James Church was founded in 1762 by English missionaries from the Society for the Propagation of the Gospel in Foreign Parts. We are the oldest parish in the Episcopal Diocese of Western Massachusetts! But our faith stays fresh. Our parish mission is to invite, sustain and restore people to unity with God through Christ. |
